Kondex Senior Application Engineer Andy Theisen was recently recognized by ASABE (American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers) for outstanding leadership as conference chair over its 2018 AETC (Agricultural Equipment and Technology Conference) event. Theisen’s efforts were acknowledged at ASABE’s Annual International Meeting in Detroit, an event that drew approximately 1,300 attendees from all continents.
Theisen accepts his certificate of recognition from ASABE President Elect Steve Searcy at ASABE’s Annual International Meeting.
Theisen joined ASABE in 2012 and has attended the annual meeting and AETC conference every year since. While he has served on the AETC committee for the past six years, this was his first year as chair. In this role, he oversaw all conference planning and meetings as well as efforts to enhance and elevate the event for future years.
“It was a pleasure and privilege to serve as AETC chair this past year. Our team did a phenomenal job to ensure the conference was a success,” commented Theisen. “With the world population continuing to grow and our natural resources becoming more strained, the work ASABE members perform is critical to our future. Events like AETC provide a forum for the type of open discussion that is required to drive new technology forward — something that is imperative in my role at Kondex.”
Kondex Senior Application Engineer Andy Theisen holds his award for outstanding leadership as ASABE conference chair.
In addition to his AETC work, Theisen is active on several standard development committees and currently serves as chair of ASABE’s Wisconsin Section.
